Construction work on the Masaka Views Eco Estate housing project is progressing well in Masaka Sector, Kicukiro District, in Kigali City, and has reached an impressive stage of development. The project is being implemented by Fortis Green Housing, an American real estate developer operating in Rwanda, and is among the major modern housing developments aimed at promoting sustainable urban living in Kigali.

The estate will be built on a seven-hectare piece of land located near the planned Kigali Medical City. It will consist of more than 300 housing units, including apartments, townhouses, and single-family homes designed for both sale and rental purposes.
Construction progress on Masaka Views Eco Estate has reached a notable stage, with site preparation and structural works advancing at a steady pace. Project officials say the works are on track, especially as the first phase houses are expected to be completed in August 2026.
The project is designed with a strong focus on environmental protection and improved living standards. It will include the planting of fruit trees in different parts of the estate, installation of solar panels to support renewable energy use, a household recycling system for waste management, air-cleaning plants to improve air quality, and a range of health and wellness activities such as fitness programs and community well-being initiatives.
These initiatives aim to ensure that future residents enjoy a safe, healthy, and well-organized living environment with modern infrastructure and sustainable services.
In the first phase of the project, 51 single-family homes, 33 townhouses, and 88 apartments will be constructed. These first units are expected to be completed in August 2026, after which residents will begin moving in.
The project is valued at approximately 25 million US dollars (over 36 billion Rwandan francs) and will be implemented in three phases over a period of about two and a half years.
Fortis Green Housing says the project aims to address the growing housing shortage in Kigali, where demand for new homes continues to rise due to rapid urbanization and population growth.
Masaka Views Eco Estate is expected to become one of the model modern residential communities in Rwanda, combining sustainable living, environmental protection, and improved quality of life for residents.
